Commercial Real Estate Analyst - Orange County
We are looking for an ambitious, outgoing, sales-oriented individual to support the production staff and assists with the underwriting, marketing, placement and closing phases of the loan production process. The analyst will gain insight into structuring real estate debt and equity investments and will be exposed to a wide spectrum of capital sources. The analyst is critical to the success of the team and is accountable to team members, lenders and clients for accuracy and deadlines. Managing time, prioritizing work on multiple projects, following up on commitments, collaborating with others and exhibiting a positive “can do” attitude is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Underwrite income-producing properties
- Responsible for complex financial modeling of commercial real estate (retail, industrial, office, multi-family) and utilizing data (market statistics, rent & sale comparables) to correctly underwrite transactions
- Analyze commercial mortgage request to determine real estate value, risk, and feasibility
- Create comprehensive loan request packages
- Conduct physical property inspections as needed
- Manage the due diligence process with internal and external parties working through the marketing and closing process for each transaction. Timely and professional interaction with team members, borrowers, lenders and third-party service providers
- Must review and understand real estate documents (leases, loan documents, third-party reports)
- Participate in weekly meetings with Closing and Production Teams to discuss deal flow, deadlines, lenders, and new clients
- Perform other reasonably related business duties assigned by a supervisor
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of real estate experience and/or related college courses
- Bachelor’s degree
- Detail orientated with strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate analysis factually, articulately, and concisely
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks under deadlines
Skills/Software:
- Advanced computer skills (typing, scanning, printing)
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to write in a professional manner
- Self-motivated
